Summary: How do I register my domain name?
If you have a name in mind that you would like to register, you can conduct a search to find out if it is available. If you do not have a name in mind and would like to see some suggestions, try the SUGGEST A NAME tool.
To register your domain name, perform the following steps:
Choose one of the following options:
Go to the Verio Order Lookup Domain page.
In the www. text box, enter the domain that you want to register. From the drop-down menu, click to choose a top-level domain (TLD) (.com, .net, .org, etc).

A TLD is used to identify the type of domain that you are registering. For example, a .com TLD is used to identify commercial or business-related Web sites. The .net TLD is used for Web sites that serve primarily as networks where site visitors can get information about a specific topic (for example, www.eaststlouissurvivors.net). Likewise, a .org TLD is usually used by organizations that deal with a specific, often non-profit, issue (for example, www.worldbirdfund.org).
Click CHECK FOR AVAILABILILTY.

Confirmation that your requested domain name is, or is not available will appear.

If the domain name is not available, you will be presented with a list of alternative domain names. If you decide not to choose any of the displayed alternatives, repeat Steps 2 and 3, or try the SUGGEST A NAME tool.
From the I would like to register this domain drop-down menu, click to choose the number of years for which you would like to register your domain. Click SELECT THIS DOMAIN.

To complete your order, follow the on-screen instructions.
If you misspell a domain name when registering it, you must submit a new registration. Once the new name is registered, you may choose to point the misspelled name to the corrected name to ensure that you receive the maximum visitors to your site, particularly if this is a common misspelling.
You will be charged for both the correct and misspelled domain names.
