Note: One of the most popular features of the Domain Manager tool is the ability to transfer Registrars for other domain names you own to Verio's Partner Registrar, MelbIT. In doing so, you will have the advantage of centralized domain name management, centralized billing, and discounted fees.

The transfer process is relatively simple, however you should be aware of the following before you use this feature:

Step one: You cannot transfer a domain name to a new Registrar within 60 days of initial registration or any subsequent transfer or renewal.

Before you transfer Registrars, make sure that more than 60 days have passed since the domain name(s) was registered, transferred to a new Registrar, or renewed.

Step two: If a Registrar transfer is requested and this process DOES NOT complete before your current Registrar requires renewal fees from you, Verio will in no way be held responsible for those renewal fees or any other fees your current Registrar may charge you.

It is recommended that you request the transfer at least 1 month prior to the renewal of the domain name with your current Registrar.

Step three: The Administrative contact e-mail address listed in the Whois database, for the domain name you want to transfer, must be a valid e-mail address.

This address will be required to confirm the transfer. If this address is not valid, you must update it with the current Registrar before you request the transfer.

Step four: You are the rightful holder of the registration for the domain name(s) that you seek to transfer.

Step five: You are not in default with respect to any obligations that you have to the current Registrar of record.

Step six: You are not the subject of any pending bankruptcy proceeding, nor are you a party to any dispute concerning the use or registration of the domain name(s).

Step seven: The domain name(s) are not currently the subject of any dispute or collection effort, including any attachment, levy, lien, garnishment, escrow or other proceedings.

Step eight: You are authorized to request the transfer and to enter into this Agreement.

Step nine: A successful transfer of Registrar has no effect on your Web site access or e-mail functionality.

Step ten: A successful transfer of Registrar adds 1 year to the expiration date of your domain name. Our fee covers the additional year that is added. In other words, the domain name is renewed for an additional year.

Step eleven: You cannot transfer Registrars for Country Code domain names, such as .co.uk.

Step twelve: Currently, only .com, .net, .biz, .info, .org, and .us  registrar transfers are supported.

Step thirteen: A request to manually validate, confirm, or complete a Registrar transfer is not possible.
