Manage my Web site is the section of your Control Panel that contains links to all of the basic resources required to create and maintain a functional Web site.

For this article, a Shared Hosting Gold account on a UNIX server was used as an example. Depending on your plan type, you may not have all the options specified below.
Below is a list of the options available under Manage my Web site. Click a link to view its description:
Domain Manager
Most of our hosting plans include the Domain Manager functionality. From the Domain Manager you can purchase new Domain Names, edit Domain Name Server (DNS) information or renew a Domain Name for any Domain Name on the account.

Zone Manager
The Zone Manager allows you to make changes to your zone file(s) online. By using the Zone Manager, you can modify your A, CNAME, MX and NS records.

This page allows you to assign unique userIDs and passwords to control access to directories within your account via the Web. Visitors will be prompted to enter an ID and password to gain access.

The Web Passwords option is not available on our Windows-based hosting plans.

Account Password
This is where you can change the account password used to access your Control Panel and FTP files. For instance, you may wish to change the default password that is assigned when a new account is created.

Home Page Placeholder
Our domain pointer, parked plans, and shared Web hosting plans come with a Home Page Placeholder tool that allows you to create your own free placeholder home page. This placeholder can serve as your presence on the Internet until you build your Web site.

The Home Page Placeholder option is not available on our Windows-based hosting plans.
Overage Notification System
The Overage Notification System allows you to be sent an e-mail response in the event your data transfer rate exceeds a set amount. Also, the Overage Notification System can be configured to suspend your account should it exceed its data transfer allowance.

Archive Gateway
The Archive Gateway utility is designed only to extract or decompress files from an archive.

Perl Script Checker
This utility compiles and verifies Perl Scripts you have created, or downloaded from another source.

Database Tools
If you installed a database such as mSQL, you can use this area to perform a number of read and write tasks to your database tables.

Anonymous FTP
From here you can enable anonymous FTP, allowing other people to upload and download files to your site.

Within Account Options you can manage the overall status of your hosting account, not your domain. For example, to non-renew a domain that you registered through us, you must use your Domain Manager.
