Use the Restore Directory Permissions feature to restore the directory permissions for your Web Site. This application resets the directory permissions to the default server configuration. Any custom settings you have will also be applied.

Note: This article describes features associated with Windows plans. Some features are not available for all accounts, and may appear differently in your Control Panel interface. If you want to use this feature but do not have it, please call sales.

To restore directory permissions:

The following steps assume that you have accessed your Control Panel. For information about accessing your Control Panel, go to How do I access my Windows Hosting Control Panel?

  1. On the Hosting Control Panel, click Web Sites. The Web Site Maintenance window appears.
  2. Click the name of the Web Site you want. The Site Details window appears.
  3. Click Troubleshooting. The Troubleshooting window appears.
  4. Click Restore Directory Permissions. The window refreshes with a confirmation message.
