Zone Information Protocol: This is a method of compressing computer
data or files into a small size, so they can be transferred quickly over the
Internet. There are programs built specifically to zip files, such as
WinZip.
Zone File
A file that has data describing a part of the domain name space. Zone files hold the information that is needed to resolve domain names to Internet Protocol (IP) numbers
